I just bought a 96 300ex and I need to fix the rear brakes but don't know much about them. The guy said he didn't use them so he took off the rotor (questionable) and so I need to put a new one on. The caliper doesn't look like it's in the best condition and when working the foot pedal, nothing really happens. Any tips for getting them back up again? Thanks.

First flush and bleed the system with brake fluid. Make sure the piston is pushed all the way in before you pump the pedal. Its best to have the brake pads in so the piston doesn't pop out of the caliper.
