. What do you think is a better quad in your opinion a Sportrax 400EX or a TRX400EX??:)

They are pretty much the same.. I think that they call the 05 a sportrax because it is styled different and has reverse.

the sporttrax and the trx are EXACTLY the same...

how can that be you ask? it may say "sporttrax" on the seat or be sold as that, but all the model numbers are TRX400EX

As far as I know the earlier models were called fourtrax i'm not sure when they switched to sportrax but they are all TRX

Their the same thing. Honda changed the name in 05 because they are using the 450R fender styling. Other than that its the exact same except it has reverse or will have reverse in 06.

before that they were fourtrax it may have been 2001 that they began calling them sportrax instead of fourtrax

the trx is the one with reverse and different fenders. Sportrax is like all the other models. Trx is the way to go!

they started calling them sportrax in 2001...the reasoning behind that is because their utility quads are called fourtrax...

some one please correct me if im wrong, but ive heard the 05 400ex tops out at 55 mph (compared to 70mph) and they have a 14t sprocket in the front now too.

can't u buy a reverse kit for the sportrax.....and does anyone know how these perform on the trials

Sorry to tell you but your wrong, ALL 400ex's since 1999 have been called a trx400ex, and 99-00 were fourtrax, 01-up were sportrax.

Who gives a ****,

05's are better, they have reverse and have much better styling fenders.

And for the wiseguy :rolleyes:, On hondas website they have a 400ex and a trx400. You can call it a 400ex if you want to does it really matter?
