Max Compression?

What is the maximum safe compression to run on 92 octaine in a two stroke? When I checked the compressin on my brothers yz 250 dirtbike it had 170# This sounds like alot. The motor is a 325 stroker. Can we run multiple head gaskets to lower the compression to a safe level? Thanks.

What is the normal range of compression on any 2-stroke? Someone must know.

I think a 250r is like 170.

You should still be ok at 170 but that's about the limit, have the head rechambered if you need to lower the compression, it's not that expensive to have done.

Hey Rooster I'm in SE lower Mich. just north of the Ohio line a bit. I've been to Silver Lake at least a 100 times over the years but not lately. I prefer to trail ride the north woods (fast) don't have the traffic or the hassels out in the woods that the dunes have. I like the sand but it gets pretty crowded there on the weekends and with all the restrictions now I just been going other places. The U P is a blast but a long haul, save that for the long weekends with an extra day or two of vacation time. What's the scoop on the EX Riders get together? :cool: :cool:
