just ordered a hmf for my 05 400ex. my question is if anyone has ordered one in the past 2 weeks, how long till you got it? i was told about 10 days. just wanted to see if that was what i should be expecting or did it come a little early?

this is really my 1st perform mod besides bars, levers, etc.

also i'm gonna switch air filters and get a outerwears for the lid [probly cut out the center of the lid and fab something to keep in place] anyway ive always had uni's or twin air on my mx bikes, whats better if the airbox will still be covered? foam or k+n? i'm just not sure about the k+n.

nevermind about the air filter, i just read the thread k+n vs foam, and after using foam my whole life i dont think i'll be switching, i'll get a uni or twin air. ive never had any problems with sand in my mx bikes so..... foam wins.

hey that sucks almost a month for the hmf. hopefully i'll get it in the 10 days? at least its coming.

mine took like 5 business days. There is nothing wrong with K&n, I run without a lid in the water and sand and I have a filthy outerwears on the filter, outside of the filter is filthy, but the inside of the filter looks new and a clean air boot. Keep it oiled and enjoy the performance over the foam!

It took me almost 2 weeks to get mine. I ordered mine direct from HMF. I was told it took longer because they were powdercoating it red. I am still happy with the outcome though, glad i bought an HMF.

the reason that hmf pipes take so long ordered directly from them or anywhere else is because they build all of their pipes to order...so unless you oreder from someone who has them "in stock", then you lookin at atleast 2 weeks!
