If i buy the street leagal kit for my 400 can i take it on main roads or to the gas station or the store?

I ride on the road all the time, the cops are allways after me but, they cant get me.

Where are you located? I'm in Iowa and you have to have a sticker that says it meets the minimum safety standards. A dealership said you could take it to minnesota where you can register them for on the road use, and then bring it back to Iowa and it would be good to go.
