What is a good setup for a 400ex I am thinking pipe 96db or lower, cam, and filter UNI with the lid off.
Thanks,

well your best bet for most power quietly is a quiet core on an hmf or wb or such. hotcams stage 2 or 3. With those mods you will have a significant power increase.

those mods will work good.. but make sure you jet that right.... jetting makes its own world of power

I'm assuming you're riding trails.
my reccomendations:
HMF QRS slip on or full system
lid on, k&N or uni
165 main jet, stock pilot and needle
dont spend money on the cam unless you get a high comp piston. You really wont get a tremendous power boost without the combo. If you do get one though, with a stock piston i would definately reccomend a Stage 1 hotcam or other mild cam that wont require you to make changes to your valvetrain.

i'm not sure on the pipe preference for you but i'd go with a yosh system mine is really quiet and done a world of differnce. . i've got some holes in the airbox lid as well. . jetting is a 170 main an is awesome
