Cheapest probally isn't the smartest way to go.

Ill second that... If you want a PEP person to do it, call Baldwin Motorsports... Other companies who revalve pretty much any shock including PEP are Derisi racing, Jeff @ the quadshop (I think he works on PEPs...), C+D, etc. There are alot of options, most of the major race shops w/ teams out there do the work so just do some research and shop around...

i called baldwin..and they want like 400 at most to do them..im not ready to **** out 400 bucks to get shocks revalved..im not a hard core racer..so i dont need anything all high tech..just something that will make them work..

there isnt any more high tech valving its all the same pretty much u pay for what u get ur gona break **** really easy or maybe even mess the shocks up even more if u have some unknown comapny do it

well i wish c and d did pep revalves..they are pretty much the only place ive talked to that does decent priced revalves...i just think 400 is a lil steep..i mean i can put another 400 and get new shocks..? and just save the hassle.u know..

400 is not what Baldwin charges for a revalve. Its like 250. The reason he told you maybe 400 is if he has to change the SPRINGS as well to get the correct valving/spring setup. My guess is that the shocks you bought are way off the weight/A-arms you need them to be, right? Sometimes valving isnt enough to change the shocks to your needs and new springs are needed. Its common, and it happens...

you are correct..thats y i said 400 at most...but still...400 seems steep....i mean they prolly do..so many revalves y does it gotta be 400 bucks to do it..and y do some places..TCS and all the do revalves for 130 to their shocks..?

How far off are your shocks if I may ask? What are they set up for now, and how do you want them set up?

rwhitaker04

well the person i bought them from said 160 TT +2 a-arms...im running +1 a-arms and XC style riding and 250lbs... but she didnt really seem to know alot about them...heres a picture..they dont look like they were set up for TT racing but hell who knows...

Yeah man, with almost a 100 pound difference, I really dont see how you could get those rebuilt without changing the springs no matter who you call....

im thinking bout the 400..i kinda want the black grey and white springs..

Call Rudy @ DFR, 480-664-9860, mention Morgan or R3Concepts and see what he can come up with..Next time spend time and look around for shocks that are closer to your bike, style, weight etc etc, cause you just bought the most complexly set up shock in the business and its no where near where you need to be.

thanks morgan..ill call him tomorrow...hopefully i can get something squared away..i got a good deal..but now im kinda stuck..lol

i got my PEPs in just 3 weeks, but my friends took 8 months because there is only one guy that can make them. it is not like elka or works were they produce them all over the place. it depends on if the guy who builds them is busy or not.

Elka's are produced in 1 place.

We have a PEP ZPS dual rate rear shock for a 450R for sale, PM us if you are interested.

If youre interested in getting PEP's, Baldwin is the place to call... I wouldnt even try to get ahold of Wayne, he will have the longer wait for sure. Many times Baldwin's turnaround is a like 3-4 weeks, but youd have to call him to see if it would be sooner or later than that.

I ordered some fronts at Baldwin and its been my 4th week. For Limited Mass fronts its 750 and ZPS depends on what you have them setup for.

I have a dumb question. What does "limited mass" mean?I have a rear 250r shock that has that engraved on it and I don't know what it means lol.

Limited mass stands for mechanical active suspension system or something along those lines. It has to do with the type of valving thats in it from what I understand. They way you can think of limited mass shocks is that they are pep ZPS's without the sag spring basically.... I use them, and have been reluctant to change to ZPS for a while now, but may in the future on my next bike...

Mark builds the shocks also..he gets the PARTS from Wayne, and builds them with Wayne's valving knowledge.

Yes he is...Hes trying to run DFR and be Keith Little's national mechanic at the same time, but he is usually VERY good about returning calls. PM me your name and number and I will see that it gets to him today.

actually wayne and mark both build the shocks...just marks are done to waynes specs...and wayne makes the materials..
