I was wondering if anyone has removed the three bolts on the stock exaust and pulled the screen out for better performance and louder results? And does it affect backpressure?

you get no real performance gains and it sounds like chit :chinese:

Exactly, I can't stand the sound of it without the SA in it.

if you do decide to modify your stock pipe just for s&g's or w/e , remove the end cap and cut off the screen and then cut the other part as far as you can then put the end cap back on

Im prolly gonna try it without the screen just to see what it sounds like. Can you leave the end cap off? Just so I can put the screen back in if its too loud or doesent sound good.

I have done a couple of rides with the end cap off. it actualy sounds pretty good. Ii assume the jetting is fine being I havent had any problems? If so how do I check it?

Any info would be great and thanks fot the feedback

any stock exhaust hollowed out shounds like chit, and to boot you look like a idiot running it that way, get a s/o or leave the end cap on!

sorry for being a dick, but its the truth, i think that and so do others, and if you dont know how to read your plug or jet properly, dont pull the s/a it will lean the bike out, and you might have to go up 1 size on the main.

well if it sounds good to you thats all that matters. it shouldnt be lean because its still got a lot of backpressure. to check if its lean take your spark plug out, if it is dark grey-light brown perfect, if white lean. if its is lean, there is a 17mm cap on the bottom of your carb take that off, once off get a 6mm socket and remove the jet go 1 upor until it is jetted properly. good luck

Exactly! Why do you want it louder, so it sounds cool?
