it was designed off of it. The oddy (which I have Ridden) isnt the most nice ride in stock trim. With some mods Im usre it could be very competent.

The pilot 400 (which i've never ridden) look to be like the better machine. Nowadays people are making long travel pilot suspensions and some serious porting to the engine. They are really spendy though.:eek2:

many ex atv'ers and dirtbikers that cant ride due to a bad accident (paralyzed) buy those because all the controls are hand acutated.

Ive SMOKED a bunch of those in my FL350! Takes a CR500 Pilot to give me a good run(but they can run slightly longer periods than I can)

and for the record, a Pilot is a glorified FL350R

You cant see it but thats whats trying to follow me:devil:

a company named Drakart makes something like them today-actually they are better because they have a 100 HP 2 stroke engine wilwood 4 piston calipers and triple rate shocks with over 15 inches of wheel travel.

They are sweet and the price is close pilot today!

I drove one a few times in 1993 when I was 16, my rich buddy's parents bought him one. It was modified, FOX shocks, beadlocks - it was like a dream come true.
At the time I had a beat-old '87 Warrior, so it was like a Ferrari to me. The Pilot's suspension was much better than the older Oddesey. I love these things! I know where there's one at, but he won't part with it.

yeah, ya cant beat the suspension or braking when compared to an FL, thats for dang sure. They're heavier and a bit wider in the chassis also, I can "barely" fit mine in my truck. If its full-on offroad... they rip all over the odys, but circle track or flattrack its a bit diffrent. The local track is pretty small and some of the tricked 250's school the rest, they're WAY lighter:blah:

I had alot of fun racing mine in the winter indoor flattrack, did it for 8 or 9 yrs. I still got it, but its been just sitting the last few yrs:ermm: Think I just got bored w/ them..

Same w/ my shifterkart, I gotta have body english!:blah:

Drakarts are spendy and parts replacement isnt the best from what I hear from a couple guys who own them, they just run around the desert and dont stray too far away..... Kind of like an FL haha

Some OLD ody parts are real hard to find these days, like a full-on Mossberger FL250 watercooled motor, or the old DG porcupine heads. Ive had quite a few of each but the FL400
