I know 400ex aarms will fit on a 300ex but will 450R aarms work too?

450R arms wont fit on a 400ex because the mounting points are much wider on the frame of the 450. Someone on this sight claims to have put 450R arms on their 400ex, but I've yet to see proof of that, with a few requests for pics, but no reply.

I saw 450R arms on a 400ex, it does work you just have to grind down the bushings, sorry no pic. so since the 400's fit on a 300 and the 450 can be modifyed to fit on a 400 I would say they would fit a 300 with the same bushing mod. KNOW they will fit, but I don't know how the geometry will work, you will be wider but it might handle like sh*t.

They won't work i went to honda dealer today and measured them the brackets don't fit up by an inch there's no way bushings have a factor in fitting these on a 300 or 400ex.

yeah theres about an inch difference in 400 and 450, that guy either does not have honda450 Aarms or he did some heating, bending, grinding and welding

I have an even better idea! You could just use A-Arms that are meant for the bike you have! Even if the 450R arms did fix a 400EX, their only about .5 of an inch OVERALL wider. Check the specs of the 400EX and 450R. Theres no point in trying it. Just get some +1,+2, or +3 arms for your bike.

The 400ex a arms are the exact fit and are exactly 3 inches wider in the front. not .5 there's just a little bit of a difference but yes the 450 are .5 wider than 400 but they are going on a 300. so theres a huge difference. and i can get a better set of 450 a arms cheaper than a 400 set and it beats the hell out of getting plus2 thats off the wall priced.

well I don't know what he did, he told me he just did a little grinding. and yes they where 450 a-arm and shocks on a 400ex.

I have a 400, my bro has a 450. I have measured many times, just to be sure I wasn't wrong, the mounting points are wider on the 450, he can grind the end off and they are still not going to line up unless he bends them and if he bends them they will have weak spots and would probably not take much abuse. I am not trying to start an arguement on this thread, I just think someone feed you some bull.

I know there is someone feeding bull*.#@ because maybe if you grinded the entire end off of the a arm it might fit in the mounts. This is my thread and im telling everyone they will not fit. period. Unless you relocate the mounts or bend the a arms.

well I don't know it might be bull. The guy that did it is not the smartest guy around, he did tell me that he only grinded them a little but I don't know maybe they where bent when he got them or something. I never tryed it I was just trying to help. And yes I did see the 450 arms on the 400 BUT I didn't really pay attention to what he did to them or if they where bent or not.

So now I know they don't fit. thanks
and sorry for causing a problem
