View Full Version : Low End Power Need Help!!!!!!!!

05-18-2002, 06:53 PM
Ive added a K&N Filter and a DinoJet Jet Kit, White Brothers E Series Silencer, six 1 inch holes in the airbox lid and a 14 tooth front sprocket, since Ive done this my low end from idle to quarter throttle seems to be lacking. I have less power than a 400 modified the same way except for the holes in the airbox lid and this 400 has a 15 tooth front sprocket. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated, THANK YOU!!!!!

If you put a 14 Tooth Sprocket on you should have more Bottom End. That doesn`t sound right. Is he beating you on the Bottom? Maybe it`s Jetted wrong.

Set your mixture screw out about 2- 2 1/2 turns and step up to a #40 pilot jet (stock is #38).

Good Luck!

you need to change your pilot to a 40, or 42.. I run a 42. and mine still did it, the mixture screw was turned out 2 1/2 turns, and that wasnt enough, it needed to be bumped up to 3 turns out. It all really depends what kinda of riding you do, and where.... You just need to fool with the jetting untill it feels right..
