I put a Powroll 96 cc kit; 49.5 mm 9.5 to 1 piston, cam and exhaust on my grandkids otherwise stock trx90. I also opened up the air box and spent some time getting the jetting right. It's a dramatic upgrade but I'm wondering if I might further benefit from an aftermarket CDI and maybe an offset flywheel key. I'm new to the game, what sources are there for these parts?

Thanks

we installed the aftermarket box on a stock engine with a full exhaust. it did seem to pull more in 3rd and 4th gear.

i understand that the offset key will make a big difference, but havent tried it personally.

I bought a cdi box from Robs (www.robbsracingengines.com)

It made a huge difference on my sons bike.

We had just installed a pipe and were a little dissapointed with the increase in power but the cdi really woke it up.

Now I have the big carb and copper head gasket. I installed the carb without blending the intake, it is ok. I plan on working on the intake and jetting. I still need to install the head gasket.

He can do doughnuts with the back tires spinning now!
We have turf tamers on the back.

Good luck, the 90 really does respond well to upgrades.

I talked to Robb at Robbs Racing, he claims increased performance with his cdi box because of a change in the advance curve. That sounds like what I need, We ride primarily in the dunes where the grandkid never gets into the high rpm range in 4th gear anyway. Think I'll give it a whack.
