I have a buddy with a 02 Grizz 660 & when you lock up the rear brake, it makes a grinding noise from the tranny is what it sounds like. Anybody heard of this before, I am positive it is not from the brake, it is deff inside the motor. Thanks

If it's a clanking noise it's coming from the rear brakes....they do that on all grizz's. Also when is the last time he cleaned his tranny?

It really doesn't sound like it is coming from the brakes tho, it sounds like it is inside the tranny on the pull start side. He just changed it a couple weeks ago when he bought it, it was a used machine.

Has he cleaned the tranny? Has he changed the oil in it? What kind of oil did he use if so??
You have to remember that the tranny and the engine use the same oil so if you put cheap stuff in the engine you are putting cheap stuff in the tranny as well.

Yep he changed that as soon as he got it, not sure what he used, but I am sure it was not cheap stuff.
