I'm interested trading my quad with someone that has a custom built single seat buggy. It has a O3' yz250 motor in it and I am trying to check the history of the motor. The buggy frame has no vin and I am dealing with the 2nd owner it. The CA. dmv says it needs the frame and engine vin from same bike to verify an engine vin. The chp won't check the engine vin until dmv refers someone to get one. Anyone know of a way to check just an engine vin?
