well, a 250r won fire till like 3500 rpm's e rsomethin like that.... but i dont know... get a cr250 ignition? comes with smaller flywheen, stater and the whole kit... improves spark and responce.

but i cant have a headlight if i do that ..i dont think. Im pretty sure it would be easier to start if it was firing good all the time.

There are a few things you can do like I did. I bought a Dyna Igniton of a seller of ebay and WOW what a spark it had. First things first you need to probably check the stator. There is a test for wiring in your TRX250R manual. I think its your stator because I have gone through about 2 used ones until I bought a ESR CR ignition. With th trx ignition with the plug out you have to kick the crap out of it around 600 rpms to get a spark. With the CR ignition with the plug out I can push the kicker with my hand and get a bright blue spark.

I think its Elelctrix makes a stator witha lighting coil for the CR ignition . Im not 100% sure , but I recall reading it on a forum somewhere. I would look into it if I were you.

There is a test for wiring in your TRX250R manual. Use these test to determine what is bad.

how hard was it to wire in? or is it just a plug in kinda deal? is it easy to adjust....how does it perform compared to stock? sorry to throw all these questions at ya..did it make yours easier to start?

Simple to plug in and there are 4 settings on it and it can be custom programmed. Yes alot easier to start. It has a built in retard for easier starting you can call Dynatek 800-928-3962 To ask any questions you have. It gives a hotter spark.
