I pressure washed my 400 and i let it dry off then tried to start it. It would not crank. The engine turns over but wont fire. I sprayed wd40 on the connections and it still wouldnt start. I let it sit a few more days and it still wont crank. What is wrong?

Check your fuse in the battery area, also the ground, try crossing it over on the cylanoid to see that the battery is good.

It won't fire or it won't turn over, is it clicking or is it turning over but will not start?
if its a firing issue, check and make sure you have spark, if its not turning over its a shortage issue or fuse, maybe the starter button or connection.

check your coil connections to make sure the coil wire isnt cracked anywhere.make sure you didnt get your air filter wet as well.if you use a pressure washer, its possible to force water through the air cleaner into the carb even if you dont wet it intentionally.water in the carb will prevent it from getting fuel as water is heavier.makes for poor fuel atomization.verify you are getting spark first.

Pump it a few times before you crank it,, put it on reserve too.
Clean your air filter.

The way it is acting is like trying to crank it with the kill switch on the "off" position...if this helps any more.

Are you getting spark? just put a plug in the cap and ground it to the frame to see if it sparks when you crank it over.

Replace the Spark Plug yet? It could just be fouled. Or the pressure washer might have popped a wire loose in the Ignition system somewhere.

I am getting a new spark plug tomorrow and I will have it fixed. My plug was fouled.
