need help

well i have a 300ex with engine mods and a 400ex carb onit and i was riding this weekend and i went to hit a jump and it stalled out and i couldent get it to start so i put it away and came out the next day to try to start it but it stlill wont start. i cant find anything wrong with it and before it sputterd and back fired so i think its the main jet but im not sure. and i want to get it fixed soon because my mom(dewie at z central) is getting her z back on wendsday. can anyone help me?:confused: :(

Check out simple and obvious stuff first....... do you have gas in it? Is the killswitch in the "run" position? Change the plug see if that helps at all. Try fresh gas maybe. Need some more details to really help you out. Pull the plug and see what it looks like. Check your air filter. Come back with some more details

what do you have for jetting? try a 160 main and 42-45 pilot

i got it to start but it still back fires. i have a 150 main jet and a 42 pilot so im going to change to a 160 main and see if that helps

if it back fires you will need to unscrew the fuel screw or go to a bigger pilot jet. that could be the reason it starts bad.

we got the z back yesterday and my mom couldent get it started. so she was getting upset and was about to call the place and complain but then she relized that the gas was off.:cuss: :D

the z is wider than that butwe had the a arms up so we could jump it. its usualy sitting lower.just figured id point that out.:blah:
