Honing?

Hey guys, how do the manufacturers hone the cylinders? Do they have a special machine, or the average honign tool with the 3 prongs? How should I hone my cylinder? Should I send it to my dealer, or do it myself? I have the tool, and while I'm at it, should I also check my cylinder for ovalness with my caliper? Thanks!

if you have the tools and know how to used them properly, I say go for it, you'll save money.

Yes, just do it yourself, honing is no big deal... If you have the tools, no need to pay a dealer 15-20 bucks to do it. While youre at it, no harm in checking your cylinder for ovalness as well...
