Houser Racing has a good set-up also, pretty reasonable prices also.

I am running Houser LT with Elka elete shocks, and they work great. The setup is kind of pricy, but sometimes you get what you pay for.

You might want to look at Janson, or Burgard LT setup if you are on a tight budget.

Leagers, lonestar, and Houser are three companies that make really good front ends and they are very well priced. As for suspension, I would recomend Elka, but since you're in a tight budget you should go with TCS. TCS makes an awsom shock and at very good price.

I dont know if there is such a thing as cheap Long Travel? You definately get what you pay for. I went Laeger/Elka with my 450R, (couldnt wait for PEP) but to go a more inexpensive route I would have done +2 or +3 standard travel JD performance arms and have GT Thunder, TCS or Derisi revalve the stock shocks. Depends on your style of riding and what type of riding you do most.

You can get the Elka Economy shocks in long travel then add rezzies later if you want to save money. Burgards for good inexpensive LT arms.

Help me out here, I have been searching for some LT A-Arms for quite a while. (I purchased an 05 450R in Feb, the last quad I have and sold was my 400EX two years ago and if anyone who knew me from 2001 on here, they would know I am super Anal, and I research stuff to death. It takes me up to two hours to buy a pair of shoes. It's the engineer in me, sorry).

But the list price of the Burgard A-Arms (www.burgardcycle.com) is 775.00. The same type Houser A-Arms are 850.00. Same thing with LSR A-Arms etc.

My question is, how does a 75.00 average difference make Burgards "inexpensive". Can I get them cheaper?

I'm about to purchase something, and I don't need to buy the top top of the line like Roll Design or Gibson (don't want to spend that much). But I am leaning towards the houser / elka combination, since I don't see any other more economical combination saving me that much money. (I consider a difference of up to 400.00 a "small amount" for a total package and not a driving factor, since I will make this purchase only once and I want to be satisfied with the quality of the parts.)

Don't get me wrong, I like to save money, and if I can find comparable products, I would buy them if I absolutely knew the quality was there.

Am I smoking crack here? Any comments? Pleas advise. Thanks in advance!

Check out www.ratedxmotorsports.com. I believe there arms are under 700.00 ( don't quote me on that ). They use hiems on the uppers for caster adjustability. Leager style ball joints at the spindles. The main tube goes over the shock mount for more ground clearance.

The Elka/Houser combo is an excelent choice!

I agree with Jeff, if I had a 450R I would be running the Houser/Elka setup all the way around. Most would not consider that the best setup out, but if you have the shocks done by somebody like Precision Concepts it goes to another level.

Those rated X a arms look pretty good. You should consider them as a possible choice.

In terms of the LT front ends I have an extensive amount of experience with the 450R, I would say I could not ask for anything better than My LSR/Axis set-up.

A-Arms
1. Lonestar DC4 XC

Shocks
1. Custom AXIS

I did not think Custom Axis is building shocks anymore?
