Mobil 1 synthetic

ive been runnin Mobil 1 red cap for about a year now. now that mobil 1 started making the 5,000 mile stuff i was wondering if the old mobil 1 red cap is the same as the new stuff. if not what is a good substitute.

im sure a lot of people swear by synthetics but me personally i dont use them.i use regular motor oil and for the price i can afford to change it every other ride.call me superstious but i seen a guy round off a lobe from his cam back in the day,he was using that stuff.i just dont need it for what i do

It isn't the same but some people are still using it and not having any problems. You can also use rotella oil.

that was probably lack of oil to the cam and not the oil.

Been using synthetic in my 400ex for 4 years and nothing is better for it.
