I am looking for a part on a 4WD drive truck. The front seal in the rear end is leaking. I am trying to find the part but I don't know what it would be called. Can any of you help me get a name for it.

you need to be more specific. I think you might be refering to the pinion seal on the axle housing? Or the axle shaft seal if its near the wheels.

check out www.ih8mud.com for good info on toyota trucks.

also what kinda yota is this?

I have an '90 SR5 4WD.

It is the seal where the driveshaft goes into the rear end.

It isn't the brakes. It has gear oil coming out of it.

you mean the seal where the U joints go to the rear axle? If so that is the pinion gear seal.

It is the seal where the driveline goes into the "pumpkin". Is that what you mean buy the pinion seal?

Yes, that is a pinion seal. It seals against the driveshaft yoke.
