need help

i just got me a 416. its been about a month an half now when i first got it, it was great. but evertime when i shift into 3rd it revs real high and the gear is slipping. but when i change the oil in i was looking for metal shaving in and i didnt see any. can you guys give me any info thanks.

Does it do it in 3rd gear and up? Sounds like your clutch is fried. BTW, Welcome!!

thanks . yeah it only dose it in 3rd. 1st 2nd 4th and 5th are fine.

The screen in the bottun of the motor may have caught the shavings. Do you hear any noises?
