i heard good things about the Stage 2 Hotcam, but you wont have to do any other mods, its just a drop in, so no need for stiffer valve springs, they are around $140 or so with an adjustable cam sprocket

I am running the hotcams stage 2 and I love it. but for mx you might wanna think about the stage 1 . tha stage 2 is a top end cam and the stage 1 is a bottom end cam. They are both drop in cams

you are way off here. for MX the stage 2 would be what he wants. the stage 1 cam has tons of lowend with a loss on topend. the stage 2 cam is not just a topend cam, it has gains everywhere.

Stage 2 all the way, mine rocks !

edit:
you wont need springs unless your going higher than the stock 9800 rpm rev limiter from what ive heard.

since I am way off here check the web site for hot cams. the stage 2 is mid to top and stage 1 is bottom to mid. just to let you know the stage 2 is not an all around cam. but do what you want

For your application, I would use the stage 2 or a 02 crf cam.

Makes you a little skeptical looking at the dyno chart at hotcamsinc.com when they use the same chart for the crf450r and trx450r????
