im gettin a k&n custom fit filter for my quad. i have 2 choices, a metal top one that is a lil bit bigger, and a rubber top one that is a lil smaller. the metal one is 10 bucks more.

im dont care about the size cuz they r about the same, but is there any advantages between rubber and metal top filters, like what one will not fall apart first.

Metal is just for looks as far as I know. Usually used when the filter is exposed like on a lot of drag banshees, and not in an airbox.
