You can go south a few miles to McNary, La and go to LA Dunes or it may be just called The Dunes now. Go to www.killeratvs.com to see some cool shots of sand drags there. There is also the Claiborne multi use trail system in the same general area. You can go just east of Alexandria and ride in the Livingston trail system. Those are the closest to you, hope that helps. I'll see you on the trails!

For info on all the trails in the national forest in LA go to http://www.fs.fed.us/r8/kisatchie/index.html . Claiborne is on Hwy 112, go 2 miles north of Forest Hill on Hwy 165 and turn left on Hwy 112 and go maybe another 2 miles to a dirt road on the right. At the end there will be a campground to park at. Livingston is also on Hwy 165 the other side of Alexandria. Go to Ball, LA and turn right on Camp Livingston Rd and follow the signs. Its an old WWII army base that has some pretty cool old concrete bunkers to explore (just beware of the snakes!).
