On Monday a man's son was down at the Jersey Shore riding on a beach that wasn't allowing vehicles, and he was going about 30 MPH and there were two yellow cables streched along the beach. The kid was wearing a yellow helmet and a yellow viser and he never saw the YELLOW rope and he went right into it. The lower rope broke on impact but the other rope caught the kid's neck and cut his windpipe. The kid's quad kept going into the ocean. And a witness to the accident saw him struggle to wave his hand for help but he collapsed and died. IT makes me twitch to think of such a tragic accident.

The kid was 20 years old:ermm:

Another young life gone.

My dads friends brother back in the 80s was riding on the local trails and someone set a chain across the trail and it cut his head off. I think there needs to be a law against this its like someone putting a line or chain across a road and waiting for a car to hit it. :(

there is in michigan. if you stretch a rope or cable you have to put contrasting colored streamers on it every foot or so,

r.i.p. to the kid, even thou he wasnt supposed to be riding on the beach:(

Like on friday, me, krash and our friend Jeremy were riding, and we started to take a trail I take ALL the time. And we come flying around a corner and right in the middle of the trail someone set up a barbed wire fence, with a no tresspassing sign on it. Its probably a good thing it has the sign.

it still pisses me off though, that trail has been open for years.

That really bothers me. Why couldn't he just put up a sign that says no trespassing or no motor vehicles? If I see a sign blocking a trail then I won't ride it.

same thing happened here a few years ago. a kid took the ditch to work every mornin in winter on his sled. and this is farmin, so he was goin to work around 430 a.m. and as all of us would do, jump the driveways. well some guy strung a wire across and he went to square up for the driveway and well.... he jumped it alright... but his head landed in 1 snow bank, and the sled and body in a diff. he was only 13

Something like that happened to a guy in my grandpa's snowmobile club a long time ago. He took a night ride all by him self and they found him dead on the trail in the morning. He rode right into a barbed wire fence, and it cut his head off.
