330 sleeve install $ ?

I have a 300ex and was looking at the 330 big bore kit like the one on a 300ex in the Jan. 01 issue of Dirt Wheels it was built by Four-Stroke Tech. The thing I was wondering is what (the people who had this done) thought about it and what did it cost to have the new sleeve installed? I can do all of the other work myself and what else they had to do to the engine and how much?

i had a 330 kit instaled in mine and i am very happy with it. it gave it a lot more performance. i had it bored, sleeved, and re-valved all for $150 and did everything else myself. hope this helps

my dumb friend had it done he only got the kit no cam or anything also he never rejeted and it back fires like a mofo hes got an e series full system. o i just remembered the first guy who put the kit in put the piston in back wards and it smoked so bad the 330 w/o a cam is SLOW!:(

i have the cam and a bunch of other stuff and its really fast

Without a cam , you will get TONs of low end power but no top end or accleration. Once you get to 4th its just like the stocker.

lol, the 330 without a cam is slow because the kid isnt too bright and didnt rejet it, fried the rings and piston, and now it just plain doesnt wanna run....

Where did you get you work done at? I have been told it was going to cost something like $200 just to have the sleeve put in.
Thats why I have put off buying the kit, because the kit is something like $250 + $150 for the cam + $200 for the sleeve install, not counting the valve work and cam springs.

Has annyone ever tried installing the sleeve themselves. I don't think I'll try it, but was just wondering what all was involved?
