400 or 450r?

i have a 400 rite now and i was thinking bout trading it in for a 40r but when i wentdown to the dealer they said i have toclean the air filter every time im done riding and that i have to change the oil evey time also i was wondering if this was true or not,i was also wondering how people like there 450's over a 400 thanks

well it all depends on how much you ride it and in what conditions. go over to the 450r forum and read some of the maintenance threads. nothing extreme.

450r is better but i prefer the ex. longer stroke = more torque and that's what i like.

well no matter what quad you have you need to clean the filter after every ride! Not just the 450s. And you dont need ot change the oil every ride. If you race change it about every 2-3 races, if you just trail ride and whatnot you can change it about every 10-15 hours..
