Question on the rear caliper piston!

Ok guys, I have my rear caliper diassembled right now to inspect and replace all the seals. Well, as I was cleaning the caliper off, the top piece of the piston came off. Can this be glued or rtv'd back on? Or do I have to buy a new pistion?
