i just put on a hetrick racing pipe, K&N filter, and a jet kit pls apowroll airbox lid. the low end is a little better THE MID ROCKS and the top is better than before
my bike has no boring or motor work done to it and in 3rd gear if i dont lean forward it will flip if i nail it on a hard surface.
the only down side was the whole in the muffler didnt fit the bolt so i had to drill it out some and it leaks around the head pipe but i am fixing that tommorow with some high temp silicone the owner from hetricks recomended it. overall i am very happy with the pipe.

Pro Circuit t-4 is a pretty good pipe , Sparkles had one of his 400ex and i like it more than his yoshi that he has on there now.

My DG puts the power in mid- to-top category. Do you mind it being loud? The bottom isnt spectacular, you hit the mid, and you can feel it, but when you hit that top end, get ready to go!

I have a White Bros Series 2 pipe on mine and I agree with the above post. You can adjust it. I love it except for the fact that it is melting my plastic above the rear tire.

could yall post some pics of how they look? hey kels they have some silver-chrome looking heat tape, that may help it from melting your plastic. everyone else keep em coming!!!!!!

i would go with a tc racing muffler its pretty good and gives u some power from low to mid not to much in the high in but if u race u dont really need high end power all that much

High end helps alot when racing. Your still pulling when the other guys is topping out.

you usaly dont top out when ur racing thats why the tc is good its good for the low through mid and stil gives a little top end not unless ur racing flat track or something u might want something differnt but im always gunning the throttle on mine but dont top out on the track

Even when your getting close to the top-end power, with my pipe you can tell. Just my opinion, but i think it helps me becasue i can tell from how loud/ tone of it, where to shift, etc.
It also depends on the type of racing you do.

dirtclog-Where did you get your heat shield? ;)

I have a 4" supertrapp and 12 discs on mine. A TC is just a cut down 'Trapp. I also have a TC open endcap, but haven't tried it yet. It is about as loud as I want it right now. It pulls better across the RPM range, but I think the mid to top is what benefitted the most. For more gains on the top end, either mod the airbox or try it without the lid (as long as you're jetted to handle it) and you'll be pleasantly suprised.
