Since you really cant get extended a-arms without doing something with your front suspension, id either save up till you can get some arms and shocks, or get an axle.

If you look around the classifieds you can prob find some front suspension and some a-arms for a better price that you can afford...

Good luck :D

it would work i think he is just saying it wouldnt make as big of a difference as shocks and a arms together. either way it would be more stable and i think if u look hard enough u can find some 450r shocks for like 250-300 dollars and i heard that they bolt
right on

Save up another 100 dollars, and wait for the right deals to come along. I got LSR chrome +2 a arms and works tripple rates with remote rezzies togetther for 500 dollars, and I just got in an LSR axel +2+4 adjustable that I paid 200 dollars for. You could cut some off the axel price by getting like a used durrable or G force.

when you extend a-arms it puts more leverage on the shock so it will be more likeley to bottom out really easy. and well with stock suspension you could probably bottom out the front end by jumping on it with plus 2s. also done get +2+1 a-arms. 400 ex's are already perfectly weighted and dont need extra length in the front just go with the +2. the shock companies ask for your weight because they put certain valves in the shocks that let the oil flow at different speeds to determine how hard and easy the shoicks go up and down. doing this they can make the shocks work perfect to your riding style and weight. also the reason aftermarket are better is because they are built with better stronger components. like on elkas the axle shafts and 5/8" thick wich makes them much stronger. and the valves they use are made of better material that makes them last longer. theres a bit more to it than that but thats what i know.
