cut fenders on a 250ex

i am thinkin about cuting my fenders down some on my 250ex i was going to mark off where im going to cut wiht some tape then use a jigsaw to cut them
does this sound like it would work

and if anyone could post some pictures of cut down fenders that would be apreciated
