That is a really good question. I would say that since the deer was hit by the other car and thrown into exracer16's aunt's or whoevers's car it was that the inshurance on the other car would be lyable for it. I'll ask my auto body teacher monday, if no one esle has come up with a positive answer.

Wow. That's def. crazy! A guy I know had the same thing happen to him, which tore the heck out of his Blazer's windshield.

A little off-topic, but anyone ever seen the aftermath of a deer vs. semi? Not pretty.:eek2:

I was talking about seeing it in person. The highways around here have a LOT of traffic from semi trucks, coal trucks, and other large trucks. There are also a LOT of deer around here. Needless to say, the two encounter each from time to time.

Roadkill is apparently such a problem in our county that we actually pay someone $25,000/yr. to pick up roadkill and that's it!! (I say we because taxpayers end up paying his salary)

Believe me, Ive done my part to make him earn his money. Ive hit a coupla deer, various tiny critters--- 95% of this happening at night of course. However, I will go out of my way to avoid porcupines, there is an abundance of the little buggers around here.

Also, back in the 90's like a mile from my house a guy once hit a deer on a 250r. He got pretty banged up. I think like 2 others have hit them really close to the house on 3 wheelers. Ahhh the stuff the happens when rednecks drink:rolleyes:
(why else would you go tapped down a dirt road at nite without a helmet on a 250r :huh )

Deer anything is covered under comprehensive. Like when someone vandalizes your car. Which is cool cuz when I have a paid off car and cover the basics with no collision. If you keep comp coverage, it will cover hitting a deer. I drive through the highest car deer crash county in Michigan everyday "Kent County.”
Its comp not collision.
Good luck

A few years back a guy hit an elk on the parkway.:eek2: I'm pretty sure he was driving a small truck, like a Nissan or Toyota. Someone was keeping the elk as a pet, it got loose, then wandered onto the parkway. Obviously, it totalled out the truck and killed the elk.
