What kind of aftermarket shifters are there that will move the lever outward more? My stock one has been bent back and forth many times and rubs on the case. I've seen some prodesign, roll, msr, and tusk. I was wondering if there's one in the $20 that works well and won't bend.

Do not get a roll design shifter. They are junk alot easier than stock to bend. I know first hand.

Well, for around $20, you're sort of limiting yourself to the shifters that will bend. That is, mild steel or cast aluminum shifters. The Tusk ones look pretty cool because they are anodized and collapsable, but they are made out of cast aluminum. I'm sure they will hold up fine to regular abuse. For the ultimate in strength, and a lot more money, buy the Prodesign. They're made out of solid billet aluminum and are availible in custom lengths to suit your needs.

mmmm pro design probably one of the best shifter i've wrapped my toes around........... but she's goin to set you back 75 bucks, if you only looking to spend 20 bucks you might as well get another stocker
