I just got home with my supposed 13 tooth front sprocket for my 2005 400EX and the splines on the shaft do not match up.

I went to Renthal's site, Moose Racing's site and neither list the sprocket that will work.

I guess cause the quad is so new that aftermarket parts are somewhat limited at this point.

Oh well....

Renthal makes a 14/15/16 tooth for the 05

Don't know about the 13 :huh

Yeah, I purchased the 14 already from Renthal, only to find out my 2005 already comes with a 14 front sprocket.

Just having trouble finding a 13 so I can gain some torque/acceleration.

Well I just went through this....
To let you guys looking for new sprockets know...They lowered the front sprocket from 15 to 14 for 2005. So if you want more torque as I did, and it needs it especially for 22" tires, you will need a 13 tooth sprocket. This gives it a bit more torque than stock set up with stock tires.
I got my sprocket from sidewinder and they have worked it all out. What happened was Honda changed the spline pattern on the counter drive shaft and now the pattern is that of an old Yamaha dirt bike. They will send you a sprocket and spacers along with a C-clip and it all works wonderful. Contact Mike at Sidewinder and he will set you up. I love mine.
