250R questions

Whats the best oil to use and whats a decent ratio for good quality oil? Also, what octane of gas? Its for a piped R. Any other things too would be appreciated, filter, jets, etc. Thanks.

Uni filter is the one I run.Used to run a K&N but even with the outerwear on I would find grit in the intake.Octane requirements depend on your compression.Jetting is dependent on altitude,porting carb size,bore size,etc.Oil is more of a personal preference.I run bel-ray,but the maxxima 927 seems to be the most popular along with Amsoil,Klotz,and others.Depends on whats availible and what you want to spend.

always mix 32 to 1 if your bike run right it will make the motor last longer and its what it says your suppose to run

i run MC1 oil and i run it 40:1 for practicin, and 50:1 for racing i do a 50:50 mix on turbo blue and 91 octane

I run HP2 Honda oil 1qrt to 5 Gal. of Torco Race fuel 108 Oct.

I run spectrum 32:1. Bel-ray clutch saver. And K&N with no box.

I use Klotz SuperTechniplate pre-mix at 32:1, Klotz Flexdrive for the trans., and a Twin Air air filter along with Twin Air airfilter oil.

ya hp2 oil 32:1. i didnt notice a difference with race gas than pump gas.

Im a 32:1 w/ HP2 also, been good stuff so far

Race gas wont do anything but make you lose power if you dont have the compression for it;)
