Algebra HELP!!!

I need help on my algebra .....its due tomm so help is appreciated, i also need to no how to solve it....thanks...

I got 11 spades. Set up a couple equations then do some substitution.

Equation A would be 5h + 6s = 1s + 5d which can be rearranged to 1h+1s=1d

Equation B would be 3s + 1d = 4h. rearrange to 1d=4h-3s then plug this into A so
1h+1s=4h-3s which becomes 4s=3h (this gives half the answer since on scale C you have 3 hearts)

Now need to figure out how many spades in a diamond. Rearrange equation B to get 1d=4h-3s and multiply by 3 to get
3d=12h-9s and you know 4s=3h so 16s=12h
3d=16s-9s=7s

Now 3h = 4s and 3 d =7s, so the total is 11 spades.

That'll be $20 unless Wilkin proves me wrong.

what algebra is that? hell were doing polynomials and that is nowhere near that stuff

Math is actually pretty cool when u get into the higher levels... between math and physics and chemistry ur like WOW thats why that happens...

i'm gettin pretty high up in my maths and physics now and its amazing the stuff i've learned...


you'd be surprised how much u really use that math everyday and u don't even realize it... if it wasn't for that math nothing would exist!

math is my fav subject in school...i dont know why i love it tho...as a high school junior im goin to a local college and taking an algebra class
