I wanted one of those bad boys soooo bad when I broke my swingarm!!!!!!! But eastcoatatv had a 1 1/2-2 month wait!! So I had to settle with a Laeger's eastcoastatv wanted $625.

If you dont mind how much did you pay? Where did you get it from? And how long did you wait?

Thanks Alot, Heres my Laeger's, I just put it on yesterday,

400exRacerX, You had to Settle for a Laeger? Laeger is almost as Good as Walsh. Plus Laeger has been making Swingarms for over 20 Years.

It cost me $750. I got it from columbia motor sports. I called and asked about a lone star he said there was a wait for them and i was joking and said you don't happen to have a walsh? He suprisingly said "actually i think Nate had one in stock last time i talked to him" So i said sign me up. The wait was 2 days :D . They sent it on wednesday and i got it on friday. He said i got lucky on that one. I shall be throwing it on today with a new chain

I've been waiting on my Houser for almost a month now.

I also have an Axcaliber axle on the way, along with some shiny Maier race cut yellow plastic.

Thanks for the Pictures. Have you Rode on PEP Shocks before? How does Axis and PEP compare in your Opinion?

EX 80
05-20-2002, 03:51 PM
I have never ridden a quad with PEP shocks, so i won't go bad mouthing them for no reason. My set up before was Works tripe rates in front with stock rear. Now i have Axis triple rate with comp adjust and rear Axis dual rate with comp adjust. I can't say enough good things about the Axis's. They are 10 times better than the works. Axis is expensive but well worth it. I don't regret it one getting them one bit.

I know Axis are worth every Penny, I just don`t have that kind of Money. Getting the PEP ZPS Fronts is going to be hard enough. Then I have to Save for the ZPS Rear Rebuild. It will be Worth it though.

My other choice would be Elka. I was going to get Elka but i said screw it i am going all the way with Axis. I have no reason, not trying to piss people off but i just don't like PEP's. Only PEP product i like is thier steering stabilizer. I suggest Elka if not Axis ;)

No your not going to make me Mad. I want to know why you don`t like PEP`s. After talking with Gabe about his PEP ZPS Shocks I want those. He said his Elka`s don`t compare with his PEP`s. Plus he has told me many Times it`s not the Hardware that matters, but the Valving. I know PEP has the Best Valving. I just want to know what you don`t like about them.

warriorman, I don't like pep's logo and I don't like the colors of thier shocks. I know you can cover them with shock wears but hey, thats just me. :devil

400exracerx, I looked at your swing arm before you installed it. I looked very similiar to my walsh one. I don't see much diff in the structural part of it.

warriorman, you wanted to see more pics of my quad, here you go. Its not polished or anything I just raced yesterday.

It seems as though LS racing would have put them on the bottom like houser does,,,just so ya don't have to cut the frame..

05-23-2002, 11:17 AM
Thats not that bad. Atleast he didnt have to cut into the frame tubing and they actually come with zerks some dont.

trx400ex
05-23-2002, 02:34 PM

Dave400ex
05-23-2002, 03:42 PM
He didn`t Cut that much, but he did gt close to that Tubing. How many other Brands run them on the Bottom?
