250x 350x conversion

I am doing the 250x 350x conversion and I have heard alot about using a 400ex pipe and heating it up then bending it to fit. From what I have heard to go along with this is that after a short period of time the headpipe starts to break. I really don't want to spend the fortune for the crappy looking powroll, really interested in a SS pipe for this application. If anyone knows please give me some help

heating and bending the pipe wont work its too short what u need to do is get either a 350x pipe and add about 3 to 3 1\2 inches or get a 400 ex header and add about 2 from what iv heard contact yz400ex he helped me while doin my conversion and was alot of help
