250r plastic conversion kit

What if somebody was to make a 250r plastic conversion kit for the 450r...i know somebody did it for the cannondale and it made them bikes look a world better...i forgot who it was...i think it was walsh not sure...but what if somebody did it for a 450r...who would buy it...i know id buy it because it would look hotness on a 450r...it would look like a hybrid

who knows somebody might read this like whoever made the dale/250r plastic kit

that's a good idea, cause in stock form, the front end is pretty gross lookin, imo.

especially if ya put the 250r fullbores on there. whoooo!! that's a bad***** set of plastics

i really dont think the frontend is that ugly..i thought it was ugly at first but it grew on me...it aint that bad but with a quad tech scoop II hood the frontend of the 450 looks slammin

someone did that a while back ago. It wasn't a permanant setup or anything but they just rigged it up to see how it would look. I liked it but I also like the unique look of the R and don't think I would change it. I actually hate that they changed the 400ex to look like the R in the front. The 400 lhad its own look and it kinda got robbed of that.

yea imo i think they shoulda left the 400ex plastics alone and concentraded more on power, and such...but the idiots at honda spent more time redesigning the plastics...slapped a reverse knob on it and called it "redesigned"

i like the old 400ex look...the headlights imo were in a perfect spot because in a roll over they wont get trashed...now the new 05 400ex you smack a tree or somethin there goes your headlights...

a buddy of mine has this maire hood(but black) on a black r and it looks a lot better than it did stock. i think it looks a lot better than the quad tech setup.

Walsh Race Craft did the conversion. A new tank, and a New sub frame would be needed to do this conversion. Would it make the 450R perfect for MX? absolutely, I wish I could have that setup.

I own two cannondales with this setup and it handles better than my 450R hands down.

Your seat heigth is lower, its easier to move around on, etc. .....

This could be done, we would just have to prove to Walsh that there is enough interest out there to do it.

Look to spend around $800-900 for the kit. because of the custom made tank.

Not including the cost of of plastic and seat.

I took that same hood, bored out the vents a little and put a set of trail-techs behind it. I like it but am thinking of getting another one and doing it just a little different. They're cheap enough on ebay anyway...

why would you want the 450 to have an outdated look of the 250. it was changed for a reason. "things change." i think each quad should have a distinct look, that's why i hate that honda got lazy and gave the 400 the same look of the 450. you can't tell the difference of the hondas when they are flyin past ya.

SAMPLEEZ; What are you doing on the TRX 450R information page? Your a Yamahomma guy. I think it's a dumb idea to put 250R plastic on a 450R. How about puting some 250R plastic on a YFZ 450?

:huh well.... maybe cause i can!!! just because i have a yfz doesn't mean i don't know stuff about the honda's too. and 5 or so of my friends have 450r's, and i get one here so if i see somethin on here they should know, i can tell 'em.

i mean if the kit was made...there wouldnt be anybody out there holding a gun to anothers head to buy the kit....i personally like the old school look of the 250r, but i like the look of the 450r too...its just an idea....no need to flame...i know id buy it because it would look like a hybrid crf 450....and hybrids look hot imo...

^ nicely said. the 450 has a unique look which none of us hate...but the 250r style has about 15 years of atv motocross history in it and just becuase you cant race 250rs in gnc doesnt mean the 250r style must fade away. im for it.

i think the 250R was by far the best looking quad ever. id definatly consider buying a kit like that. the 450R doesnt look bad but i hate that ugly headlight! one of the 1st mods i did to mine was a carbonfiber hood.
i also think the old style 400ex plastic looked really good. the 450R wannabe plastic is extremely freaking gay and ugly as fitos @$$!
