R vs. banshee in a sraght line will go to the shee most of the time depending on mods. All out rideability,R hands down. The banshee has twice the stuff to worry about(main bearings, cylinders, carbs, pipes) so they are more expensive to maintain and rebuild.

compared to ur 400... a 250r will probly seem like a maintenance whore.

ya compared to the 400 it will be a difference as far as maintaining it. but its not that bad. compared to a banshee the 250 might be a little slower in the straights depending on the mods but the 250 is also good for trails.
