WTF is up with my phone?

I saw a car accident and some dude was screaming "Call 911!" So when I tried on my cell phone, it just cancelled itself and went back to the home screen. Does this mean someone else was calling or what? Its a nextel i-710

that sucks that it did that! I would deff contact the people you bought the phone from that would suck if you were riding and were hurt and it did that :eek2:

yea I re-tried, finally got it to work like the 4th-5th time. Its never done this before

Um... well i dunno how it works where you live, but i have this 911 emergancy charge on my phone i have to pay every month. its something like 50 cents or whatever. Maybe you dont pay for yours. Kinda dumb to have to pay for 911. Im with AT&T Wireless Rogers. My phone is the Nokia 3220 i think. Just got it, hopefully i dont have that problem if i ever need to call 911 :/

I had to call 911 one time on my old cell phone, and I didn't even need service or a tower nearby to call it being its an emergency number...That sucks though.

dood, your phone is way screwed up anyways.. time for a new one.. or send it in for repair.. you cant hear ANYTHING without having the speaker on..

Any cell phone weather you have a wierless plan or not is suposed to be able to call 911. Pay phones also don't need money for 911 calls.
