OK guys I have been riding today, pretty hardcore. I have a .335 web cam, weisco .040 11:1 piston, .020 taken off the head, P&P, 4 angle valve job, hmf pipe and WB header. I stop to switch riders and see there is oil on the side of the engine, then i see the breather hose is right there. This is the breather hose that is comes from the valve cover. What is wrong, will get pictures.
edit: I have checked all gaskets, all fine.

you could need rings..
Put the oil separator box back on, that hose + the crankcase breather hose go into it and then another hose goes from the separator box to the airbox.

cody, on the 400's oil comes into the breather when you over fill the oil.;) might be the same on the 300.

Just rebuilt, And it does not have any oil seperator box, It is a 96'. When I checked the oil it was over the oil line.

Yea samething happend to me, but my piston pulled the sleeve down into the crank. Its either to much oil, or you overheated it. I think i heard your soundclip of your quad, sounded like you were hitting the rev limiter in every gear, maybe thats why. (not tryin to be a smart ***). When i change my oil now i put no more then 1 1/2 quarts of oil, then i warm it up and ride down the rode alil way, then i let it set for 20 minutes or so and then fill it up to the line. A 300ex takes about 1.69 quarts, And i change the oil filter everytime, so i always gotta add alil more when i'm done.

Threads extremly old, and I run a stock CDI, i'll be alright on hitting the rev limiter.

Yea after i did it i saw it was old. Still hitting the rev limiter isn't good, its still wound smooth up.
