i take it you have checked :

1) that your getting fire to the starter

2) that your fuse is not blown (the one near the battery harness, 1 is the fuse, the other is a spare)

3) make certain the coil wire is fully seated in the coil

4) also amke sure your starter button is not caked full of mud/water etc. ive seen afew that were a dead stick until it was disassembled and cleaned.

sorry for not narrowing down any particulair, just throwin out some ideas

how do i check if starter is getting fire ?

you will need a multimeter.

lets start by getting to square 1...

when you turn the key on does your neutral light light up?

if it does, when you hit the start button does the quad trun over .

if it doesnt turn over, does the green neutral light stay lit or die out?

neautral light is lite up..and dont have a key i have a switch but yes when i hit the start button the green light stays on....

have you wired the quad to not use a key? if so thats the first place i would check for a wire grounding out.

what happenes when you hit the starter button?

its fine been wired like that since 02 and that button makes the sound like the bike is flooded...like a windin noise

what is your battery voltage? fully charged according to a charger doesnt mean much. a bad battery can show fully charged thru the charger.

the noise....its from the switch? or from the battery solonoid clicking?

u kno the noise when a bike has a fouled plug or a flooded bike.....thats the noice..i have tried to jump my battery off with my tacoma but that dnt work

when did this problem surface? how long had the quad been sitting before this problem started?

without knowing the battery voltage, i cant help you determine if your even getting enough current to fire the engine.

how did you figure you we not getting fire at the coil?

i was riding it and i clipped a tree with the rear left tire and it stalled and wont start....i put the plug in the cap on the coild and held it against the frame and no visable spark was seen..i checked every wire there fine

man that does seem weird. i would start by looking for a wire that possibly came loose or has worn thru its shielding. also check every connection in the harness. a sudden jolt from clipping atree could have caused a connection to come loose.
