We have for sale a 1987 Yamaha Warrior rolling chassis. Great shape for it's age. Pictures don't do it justice. It does need to be cleaned. The brakes work awesome and everything else is pretty tight. The tires are pretty worn, but they all hold air. Wheels have the usual dings from 18 years of life.

What's missing?

-Motor and transmission
-Wiring harness, CDI & voltage regulator (If there is even one)
-Battery
-A dozen or so bolts to mount body
-Header pipe
-Engine mounting nuts and bolts (we may have them)
-maybe a throttle cable (not sure)

We do have the motor, but it needs a new crank assembly and piston. The cylinder looks like it just might need a good honing. The cylinder, head, carburetor and bolts to put it together were all in a box when when we got it so we have no idea if they are all there or not.

Were asking $500, but will accept a REASONABLE offer. We will deliver somewhat locally for free if the full price of $500 is paid. Otherwise Local pickup only.

Yeah it is a bit much, but we priced it based on our ability to fix it and sell complete. It just takes a little time and some money. On the other hand we did say "best reasonable offer".
As far as the seat goes, we are not ready to consider parting it out yet. If you were selling it as is, what do you think would be fair. Obviously this is a project for somone that knows a little about what they are doing.

Thanks for you help,

Really? HMMMM gonna have to rethink it. It's a shame. The thing is beautiful for it's age.

Thanks for the info you've been a help,

Thank you to some of the people on this forum for their help and guidance regarding the sale of this rolling chassis. We have decided to part it out and put the parts on ebay when time permits. If anyone needs parts off this before we get to it, please let us know. If the offered price is fair we will sell them outside of ebay.

Cheers and thanks again,

LM

I had a big warrior parts lot about 6 months ago that I sold off... the frame alone went for over $200 with a fresh coat of paint.

Even if you didn't include the motor, I'd say $400 or so is a fair price for the roller considering you can get a running motor and the parts needed for $500 or less, throw it in the frame along with a few new nuts and bolts, and have a nice trail quad for under $900.

I'd think $500 is a fair starting price, maybe just a tad high, but $200 is too low... whoever got one with aftermarket for $200 got a screamin deal, don't let him fool ya.

I guess it would depend on how much the shipping would be and how much you would be willing to pay for it. Where are you located BTW?
