250r with 400ex spindles

I've seen lots of people using 400ex splindles on their 250r.

Is there any benefit in doing this?
And will the 250r calipers/brake set up work on the 400ex spindles?

I would appreciate any help.

400ex spindles are lighter and stronger. 250r calipers will work if you buy the 200$ adapters.

better option is to run 450R spindles, calipers, and hubs. theres a writeup on the conversion here sumwhere. its a bolt on its just a matter of finding the right bolts.
