I was thinking about getting one of the Edelbrock carbs for the 300ex and I was wondering if anyone has any stories about them.

Thanks.

A few people have complained about the enricher for the carb, but other than that, it works great.

the only complaint i have for it is the thumb throttle is extremely stiff (the yamahas fcr thumb feels smoother than this)

I have one on mine and it works great. I had to order a bigger needle though cause the biggest size they give you in the box isnt enough fuel for a fully modded 300ex motor. And the stock spring on the carb is really stiff. U can call Edelbrock and they will send you a 40% softer spring and it will feel like normal again. But i like mine!

out_sider,I'm also running the Edelbrock carb on a 330 motor and was needing a little help with getting it set.I'm running the largest needle that came with it,but i really have no idea on how many clicks to set the needle at. I'm sure mine will be a little different than what your's is set at becuase of location or motor mods, but just need an idea on where to start it out at.
