Rebuild

As some of you guys know my 400ex is using oil and smoking like a bast***, by the way it is a white smoke. I am in the process of rebuilding it and i am putting in a J&E 416 Piston Kit (11:1), Gasket Kit, Stage 2 Hotcam, and some OMF Scoops. I will also be adding some valve seals and a timing chain as well (what is a good timing chain to get?). I was curious if you guys think i should add anything else to get my 400 up and running correctly again. I want to eventually build it to be a track monster, but the carb, port and polish, etc will come later when i have more cash. Any help would be great!!!

Go to servicehonda and order up the CRF450 timing chian. It's the chain off the dirt bike, any year of that bike will do. I put one on my 440 with no trouble. You will have to pull your clutch and basket to get to the chain...so remember to buy a new center clutch locknut while you are at it. Good luck.
