got problems with the z400 chain drive, one of the rear housing bolts came loose ,when it was time to adjust my chain it cross threaded some how while tightening it, now it is completely locked there and my chain wont stay proprly adjusted because of that one bolt . anyone have any similar problems with a Z? does any one prefer locktight on the rear housing bolts:scary:

yeah i have had the same problem you just have to tighten the bolt like wicked tight because they will come loose easy

Mines torn apart right now, I have parts on order. The 4 bolts have 2 plates with nuts welded on them on the bottom of the swingarm (above the skidplate).
The torque for the big bolt is around 75 foot lbs and the smaller one is around 53 foot lbs. You also have to make sure the inside of the housing is clean to get it tight.
