cam and jet kit

I have a 400EX, white bros slip on, kand N filter. does a hot cams stage II cam need to be reved all the time, or can you let the bike idle for a period of time.Iwant that snap out of the corner on the motocross track that the 400EX lacks. Know anyhting else I can do to make it have more power, midrange, planning on putting ina jetkit in the future. Is it hard to put in a jet kit for the 400EX. Or should I just but a new 450, it it worth the money for the power? Any one know how the 400EX compare to the 450R, and YFZ 450, does it get blown away that much?

I have a HRC Cam on the way soon. Hopefully that will help my mid to top. Also, the stage two.. you don't need to treat it like a two-stroke. You can let it idle all day long. It won't have near the low end power without a high compression piston though. The higher compression piston will also add more top end.
